Experienced and Qualified Arborists - Queenstown and Wanaka

We are immediately seeking to fill a number of Arborist positions in within our Queenstown and Wanaka operations.

 

The work involves: the care and maintenance of all streets and parks trees throughout the Queenstown and Wanaka regions.

To be considered suitable for this position, you must

  • Preferable be a skilled climber who is either fully qualified or be working towards the National Certificate in Arboricultural (Level 4).
  • Hold a current HT licence, or have the ability to achieve to obtain a minimum of a Class 2 license
  • Have a strong work ethic and have a production focused personality, with a willingness to learn.
  • Have a good level of fitness and be a team player with a positive attitude

We would also consider a good solid all-rounder with at least 1 year of full time tree work experience.

 

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.

 

While these are not apprentice positions, training to NZQA unit standards will be provided where required.

Experienced Climbing/Cutting Arborist - Foreman - Land Clearance Division

Location: Auckland /Waikato

We are immediately seeking to fill the position of Climbing/Cutting Arborist - Foreman within our Auckland operation.

The work involves a variety of tasks associated to working in our Land Clearance division - our land clearance services include tree felling and removal, onsite mulching using tractors, stump removal and large scale land conversion.

To be considered suitable for this position, you will preferably:

  • Have a strong work ethic and have a production focused personality, with a willingness to learn.
  • Have a good level of fitness and be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Be willing to work away from home on occasion.

Location: Auckland and South

We are immediately seeking to fill a number of Arborist positions within our Auckland Central and Southern operations.

The work involves care and maintenance of street and park trees throughout Auckland Council's local board regions of Albert Eden, Puketapapa, Waitemata, Orakei and Maungakiekie - Tamaki and Howick, Otara - Papatoetoe, Manurewa, Mangere - Otahuhu, Papakura and Franklin.

Day to day activities could include:
Formative pruning
Tree removal
Stump grinding and removal
Control of vegetation along carriageways
Tracks, walkways and footpaths
Updating of the city's street tree asset inventory
Tree planting
Aftercare of newly planted trees
Management of roadside and track and walkway vegetation
