Powerco Lines Contract
This specialist vegetation management contract involves the removal of vegetation from Powerco’s feeders throughout Thames, Coromandel, Tauranga and New Plymouth. As part of the contract Asplundh provides a 24 hour, 365 day a year response to emergency works as well as liaising with the general public in relation to their trees.
In the time that we have held this contract, Asplundh has responded to numerous storm events in the region, including the tornados that struck the Taranaki district late 2007, and the heavy weather event that caused havoc in the Coromandel area a few months later.
In addition to the operational activities we undertake for Powerco, our senior management liaise with Powerco frequently to discuss scheduling and budgeting to ensure Powerco receives the best value for money.
We currently have a large fleet of equipment assigned to our contract with Powerco, including a range of different Elevated Working Platforms, chippers with capacity from 6” through to 15”, Traffic Attenuators, excavators and large chip trucks.
Due to the large geographical area of this contract we have regionally based equipment to ensure prompt response to emergency call outs.
Since commencing this contract in 2005, Asplundh has received consistently excellent audit results from our client’s auditors.
