Franklin Grounds Contract
This full facilities contract involves the maintenance of all aspects of the regions parks network; from detailed turf mowing and garden bed planting through to interments.
The Franklin District has increased in population over the last 10 years and there is a changing in the demographic of the area. The area is changing from rural with rural townships servicing farms, growers and orchards to a community that caters to former city dwellers with cafes, restaurants and boutique shops to compliment. The changing demographic has meant that the expected standard in parks and reserves has been lifted with Franklin District Council having to respond to this accordingly in provision of facilities and levels of service in maintenance contracts.
The services Asplundh provides are all aspects of parks and reserves maintenance. This includes cemeteries which have a very high maintenance requirement on top of the provision of burial services. Dayworks are a large component of this contract, with the client involving Asplundh in a wide range of jobs; from digger work and garden renewals to the renovations at Counties/Growers Stadium.
Our equipment utilised on this contract includes upfront mowers, tractors, edging equipment, spraying units, rubbish compactors, small excavators (for interments) and sportsfields renovation equipment.
We are just reaching the completion of the first full year of the contract. Client feedback to date is that they are very happy with the way the contract is going and our management of it.
